Buick Park Avenue tpms reset -2000-2001
There are 2 ways to reset the TIM system.
TPM Reset Using the DIC
Important: Clearing the ABS DTCs will not reset the tire Inflation monitor (TIM) system.
If the TPM system does not reset or DTC C1245 remains current, refer to A Diagnostic System Check -Tire Inflation monitoring.
Set all tires to the manufacturer’s recommended pressure.
Start the engine.
Press the SELECT buttons on the DTC to scroll until GAGE PAGE is displayed in the DTC.
Press the SELECT buttons on the DTC within the GAGE PAGE display until the TIRE PRESSURE LOW message is displayed on the DTC.
Press and hold the DTC RESET button on the DTC until the TIRE PRESSURE RESET message is displayed on the DTC.
Release the button, the TIRE PRESSURE NORMAL message is displayed. The system is now in the autolearn mode.
Use the scan tool in order to clear the ABS DTCs.

Important: Clearing the ABS DTCs will not reset the tire Inflation monitor (TIM) system.
If the TPM system does not reset or DTC C1245 remains current, refer to A Diagnostic System Check -Tire Inflation Monitoring.
Set all tires to the manufacturer’s recommended pressure.
Install a scan tool.
Start the engine.
With the scan tool, perform the Tire Pressure Reset in the DRP/ABS/TCS/TIM/VSES (if equipped) Special Functions.
The TIRE PRESSURE NORMAL message is displayed on the DTC. The system is now in the autolearn mode.
Use the scan tool in order to clear the ABS DTCs.
