Simple Way to Reset Oil Service indicator in Toyota 4Runner

Maintenance Required Lamp/Indicator: Service and Repair
After Changing The Engine Oil
The Engine oil maintenance data should be reset. Perform the following procedures:
1.Switch the display to the trip meter A when the engine is running.
2.Vehicles without a smart key system Turn the engine switch off.
  Vehicles with a smart key system Turn the "ENGINE START STOP" switch off.
3.Vehicles without a smart key system While pressing the trip meter reset button, turn the engine switch to the "ON" position (do not start the engine because reset mode will be cancelled). Continue to press and hold the button until the trip meter displays "000000".
Vehicles with a smart key system While pressing the trip meter reset button, turn the "ENGINE START STOP" switch to the IGNITION ON mode (do not start the engine because the reset mode will be cancelled). Continue to press and hold the button until the trip meter displays "000000".

Navigation Maintenance Item Setting (If equipped)
When the navigation system is turned on, the "Information" screen displays when it is time to replace a part or certain components.
1.Push the "SETUP" button.
2.Touch "Vehicle"
3.Touch "Maintenance"

Vehicles with a smart key system While pressing the trip meter reset button, turn the "ENGINE START STOP" switch to the IGNITION ON mode (do not start the engine because the reset mode will be cancelled). Continue to press and hold the button until the trip meter displays "000000".

When the navigation system is turned on, the "Information" screen displays when it is time to replace a part or certain components.
1.Push the "SETUP" button.

3.Touch "Maintenance"

4.Touch the desired button.
"Delete All": To cancel all conditions which have been input.
"Reset All" : To reset the item which has satisfied a condition.
"Set Dealer": To register dealer information.
"Dealer Info": To edit dealer information.
"Reminder": When this button is touched, the indicator is illuminated. The system is set to give maintenance information with the "Information" screen
When the vehicle needs to be serviced, the touch screen button color will change to orange.
5.Input the conditions.
"Date": The next maintenance date can be input.
"Distance": The driving distance until the next maintenance check can be input.
"Delete": To cancel the date and distance conditions.
"Reset": To reset the date and distance conditions.
6.Touch "OK" The screen returns to the "Maintenance" screen.
