7 STEPS TO RESET OIL SERVICE REMINDER ON NISSAN FRONTIER

7 STEPS TO RESET OIL SERVICE REMINDER ON NISSAN FRONTIER

The Nissan Navara/Frontier is the name for the D22 and D40 generations of Nissan pickup trucks sold in Asia and Europe; and the name for all generations of the vehicles in Australia. In North, Central and South America it is sold as the Nissan Frontier. The D22 line began in 1997, replacing the D21 Nissan Navara truck. As of 2002, the D22 series pickup is no longer sold in Japan; the D22’s primary market being North America. It is currently built at the Nissan factory in Canton, Mississippi, United States.

For the Australian market, the D22 ran as a series 1 from the end of the D21 until 2003, when a series 2 was released with a new ZD30 Diesel engine and updated front end. The ZD30 powered D22’s were exceptionally reliable unlike the Patrol counterparts, but were replaced in 2008 with an upgraded Common Rail 2.5L Diesel engine. The D22 Navara was run in parallel with the larger D40 until 2015. Both were replaced by the D23 Navara – locally known as the NP300 Navara as of 2015. This is not the same NP300 as the rest of the world, confusingly. This D23 is rumoured to be the basis of the upcoming X series Mercedes-Benz utility vehicle.

Nissan was the pioneer of the “Hardbody” or “Nissan Frontier” since 1986. The first was the D21, considered to be a small pick up. After more than 10 years with the D21, the second generation Navara was manufactured from 1997 and went until 2004 which was classed as a compact sized pick up. It was replaced with the bigger, taller, longer D40, which Nissan now considers to be a mid-size pick up truck.

The Navara gets its name from the Navarre region of northern Spain, and the European version is built at the Nissan factory in Barcelona. In many European markets it is sold as the Nissan NP300.

  1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
  2. The wrench symbol light will turn on for about 5 seconds, then turn off.
  3. Press the “TRIP’ button and hold for 3 seconds during the time the wrench symbol is illuminated.
  4. The symbol and distance display will begin to FLash and will show the current interval.
  5. Press the “TRIP” button to increase the interval distance.
  6. Set to desired distance (up to 30,000km).
  7. Turn ignition off

8 Steps to reset oil service light of Nissan Altima

8 Steps to reset oil service light of Nissan Altima

Quick Details about Nissan Altima

The Nissan Altima is a mid-size car which has been manufactured by Nissan since 1992. It is a continuation of the Nissan Bluebird line, which began in 1957. The Altima is one of the top selling Nissan models and primarily competes in the mainstream mid-size sedan class in the United States against its main rivals, the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.

The Altima has historically been larger, more powerful, and more luxurious than the Nissan Sentra but less so than the Nissan Maxima. The first through fourth generation cars were manufactured exclusively in the United States and officially sold in North and South America, along with the Middle East and Australia. For other markets, Nissan sold a related mid-size sedan called the Nissan Teana which was between the Altima and Maxima in terms of size. In 2013, the Teana became a rebadged version of the fifth generation Altima.

The name “Altima” was originally applied to a top trim line of the Nissan Leopard for the Japanese market in 1986,and then to the Nissan Laurel mid-size car sold in Central America and the Caribbean before 1992. In 1992, Nissan discontinued the Stanza, replacing it with the US-built Altima, while remaining a compact car. It also replaced the Nissan Bluebird as well as the Nissan Primera. The first Altima was produced in June 1992, as a 1993 model. All Altimas were built in Smyrna, Tennessee, until June 2004, when Nissan’s Canton, Mississippi plant also began producing the model to meet high demand.
